Getting started
- How do I make my first call?Sign up, allow your microphone, check that it hears you, then dial. No app or SIM card needed.
- Is my first call free?New accounts get their first call free for up to one minute to select destinations.
- Which browsers and devices work?A recent version of Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox, on a computer or a phone.
Before you buy
- How do I check the price before I call?The dialer shows the price per minute for the exact number before you press Call.
- Is there a subscription or a monthly fee?No. You add credit and pay per started minute.
- Does my credit expire?No. Unused credit does not expire.
- Why do mobile and landline numbers cost different amounts?Each destination has its own price per minute, and the dialer shows the one for the number you typed.
- What happens if my balance runs out during a call?The call ends on its own when the minutes your balance covers are used up, so you never pay more than you have.
- Which currency do I pay in, and is tax added?Prices are in US dollars. Tax is added at checkout where it applies.
- How do I call from my phone's browser?Open QuikRing in Chrome or Safari, allow the microphone and tap Call. No app is needed.
- Does the person I call need an app?No. Their phone rings like any other call.
- How do I show my own number when I call?Verify your own number after your first top-up, then choose it as your caller ID.
- Which numbers can't I call?Emergency numbers, short service numbers and most premium-rate numbers.
- Where can I see my past calls and what they cost?In Call history in your dashboard, with the duration and cost of every call.
Calling
- How do I allow microphone access?If the dialer says microphone access was denied, change the permission for quikring.com in your browser.
- How can I improve call quality?Echo, delay and choppy audio usually come from the connection or the audio device.
- Do I pay for calls that don't connect?No. Busy, unanswered and failed calls cost nothing.
- Which number does the person I call see?A QuikRing number by default. After your first top-up, you can show your own verified number instead.
- Can I call emergency numbers?No. QuikRing cannot place emergency calls; for those use a mobile or landline phone.
- Can I call from a country that blocks WhatsApp or FaceTime?Usually yes. QuikRing calls travel over the same HTTPS your browser already uses.
- What if pressing 1 does nothing during a call?Tap the keypad on the screen once the call is answered. Digits typed on a computer keyboard are not sent to the call.
Credits and billing
- How are calls charged?Per started minute, at the rate for the number you call, with no connection fee.
- How do I buy credits?Top up from $5. Larger top-ups include bonus credit, and credit never expires.
- Which payment methods can I use?Major cards, plus the wallets Stripe offers for your country and device.
- How does auto top-up work?Refill your balance automatically when it runs low. It stays off until you turn it on.
- Can I get a refund?Contact us if a call didn't work.
Numbers and account
- Can I get my own phone number?Rent a US or Canada number to show as your caller ID and to receive calls.
- Can I bring my existing phone number to QuikRing?Yes, a US or Canadian mobile or landline number, from Numbers in your dashboard.
- How do I earn credit for referring someone?Share your link from Referrals: when the person you referred has topped up $10, you each get $2.50.
- Which emails do you send, and how do I stop them?Tips and offers are opt-in and unsubscribable. Receipts and security emails always come.
- How do I turn on two-factor authentication?Add a code from an authenticator app to every sign-in.
- How does Team Calling work?One shared balance for the whole team, with invites, roles and a monthly usage report.
- How do I delete my account?Delete it from Settings. Any remaining credit is forfeited.
