Calling

Can I call from a country that blocks WhatsApp or FaceTime?

Usually yes. QuikRing calls travel over the same HTTPS your browser already uses.

Several countries block the voice features of WhatsApp, FaceTime, Skype and Messenger. QuikRing places a real phone call instead: your browser talks to our servers over ordinary HTTPS, and the call reaches the other person's phone through the normal telephone network, so it rings like any other call.

That means there is nothing to install and no VPN to pay for or explain at a border. Open the dialer, allow the microphone, and dial with the country code.

Some hotel and airport networks block the ports voice needs even where the country does not. If a call won't connect, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data and try again, and use the connection test under Free tools to see whether the network is the problem.

We don't publish a promise for any specific country: networks change their filtering without notice. If a call fails from where you are, write to support and tell us the country and the network — we answer within 24 hours.
