How to call home from a cruise ship
Cruise ship satellite phones and in-cabin phone systems charge a steep per-minute rate for calls off the ship. Most cruise lines also sell a Wi-Fi day or trip pass — once you're connected to that Wi-Fi, QuikRing lets you call a real phone number from your browser at its own transparent per-minute rate instead of the ship's phone system.
Make a call
First minute free to select destinations, with a verified email.
How it works
- 01Connect to the ship's Wi-Fi day or trip pass
- 02Open QuikRing in your browser and enter the number you want to reach
- 03Check the per-minute rate shown before you call
- 04Tap Call instead of using the ship's satellite phone system
Frequently asked questions
Does this work with any cruise line's Wi-Fi package?
Yes — as long as your device has a working internet connection through the ship's Wi-Fi, QuikRing works the same as it would on any other Wi-Fi network.
