Avoid WindTre roaming fees
ItalyWindTre's live rate calculator shows €0.20 per minute for calls home from the US on current plans — but anyone still on an older legacy plan pays roughly ten times that.
How WindTre charges for roaming
WindTre's current rate for calling Italy from the US is €0.20/min, but calling a local US number instead costs double (€0.40/min) — and older "Be Wind" legacy plans (pre-2020) are billed at a much higher roaming rate, around €2/min.
