Avoid TIM roaming fees
ItalyTIM charges €2.02 per minute for calls home from the US, rising to €3.02/min for most other non-EU destinations and €6.05/min in its priciest tier. A 15-minute call from most non-EU countries runs €45 or more.
How TIM charges for roaming
TIM's rate depends heavily on the destination zone: the US-specific "Zona 1 NEW" tier is €2.02/min, but most of the rest of the world is €3.02/min, and the farthest tier reaches €6.05/min. Inside the EU, "roam like at home" rules mean calls cost your normal domestic rate.

Frequently asked questions
Is TIM's non-EU roaming rate the same everywhere?
No. TIM prices the US specifically at €2.02/min, most of the rest of the world at €3.02/min, and its most distant zone at €6.05/min — the destination matters as much as the plan.
