Calling Germany 0800 numbers from abroad: what works
Germany 0800 toll-free numbers generally can't be reached from outside Germany. That is true from a foreign phone, and equally through QuikRing or any other international calling service.

Why foreign phones fail on toll-free numbers
The telecom block
German 0800 numbers are strictly reserved for German national territory callers. Foreign telecom networks cannot terminate calls to German toll-free numbers.
What works instead
Most banks, airlines and public offices also publish a regular number with an area code for callers abroad. Look on the back of your card, or on the contact page under “calling from abroad”. Call that number from your browser with QuikRing. You'll see the per-minute rate before you dial, and the rates for Germany are listed below.
A call that doesn't connect isn't charged.
The dialer also warns you before you dial a toll-free number in Germany.

Frequently asked questions
Can I call 0800 numbers in Germany from abroad with QuikRing?
Usually not. Germany toll-free numbers are built for callers inside Germany, and international carriers generally can't reach them, QuikRing included. If the company publishes a regular number for callers abroad, call that one instead.
What should I call instead of toll-free numbers in Germany?
Look for the company's regular number with an area code: on the back of your card, or on its contact page under “calling from abroad”. You can call that number from your browser with QuikRing, and the per-minute rate is shown before you dial. A call that doesn't connect isn't charged.
