How to call from your browser
Once you have the official number, QuikRing is the simplest way to place the call from abroad: it runs in your browser, so there is no app to install and no roaming call charge, and the price per minute is shown before you dial.
01
Find the official number
Open china.usembassy-china.org.cn and copy the number it gives for callers abroad. Check which line is for what.
02
Write it in international format
Start with the plus sign and the country code, then the number without its leading zero.
03
Open the dialer and paste it
Allow the microphone when asked. Wi-Fi is enough: no SIM and no app.
04
Check the price, then call
The dialer shows the per-minute price for that number before the call starts.

Frequently asked questions
Does QuikRing give the phone number for the U.S. Embassy in Beijing?
No. A number that is wrong, or out of date, costs you time you may not have, so we send you to the mission's own website for the current one.
Can I call an embassy from a browser without a SIM card?
Yes, for any ordinary international number. Short codes and toll-free numbers often fail from abroad, so use the number the mission lists for callers outside the country.
Is QuikRing for emergencies?
No. QuikRing cannot reach emergency services. If someone's life is in danger, use a local phone and the local emergency number.
