QuikRing is operated by Syntropy Solutions, LLC, incorporated in the State of Delaware, United States.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using QuikRing, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Acceptable Use Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country if that is higher, and able to enter into a binding contract, to open an account or buy credits. QuikRing is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly sell to them. If you open an account on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind it to these terms.

3. The service

QuikRing lets you make international calls from your browser, rent virtual phone numbers, and forward calls, billed on a pay-as-you-go basis from a prepaid credit balance. Individual features may be unavailable in some countries, or temporarily, where a carrier or regulator requires a registration we do not yet hold; what is available to you is what the app offers when you sign in.

QuikRing does not carry calls to emergency services — 911 in the US and Canada, 112 in Europe, 999 in the UK, 000 in Australia or their local equivalents — and does not carry calls to operator or directory enquiry services. Those numbers are blocked and will not connect.

QuikRing also depends on mains power and a working internet connection, so it places no calls at all during a power cut, an outage at your internet provider, or an interruption of our service. Keep your own arrangements for reaching emergency services, using a mobile or landline phone, and if you let someone else use your account, tell them QuikRing cannot call emergency services.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. One account per person unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Whether you receive marketing emails about calling abroad depends on where you sign up. In the EU and EEA, the UK, Switzerland, Canada and Australia, and whenever we can't tell which country you are in, you receive them only if you tick the box at signup; everywhere else the box is ticked by default. If you create your account by signing in with Google, there is no box, and the same default for your country applies. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off any time from Dashboard > Settings. This never affects receipts, security alerts, or other account emails, which we send regardless.

5. Credits and billing

  • Credits are prepaid and deducted per minute as you call, or every 30 days for rented virtual numbers.
  • Calls are billed in full-minute increments, rounded up: a call lasting 1 second to 60 seconds costs one minute, a call of 1:05 costs two minutes, and so on. Per-minute rates on our rates page are quoted on that basis.
  • Digital fulfillment: Purchased credits are delivered digitally and credited to your account balance immediately upon successful payment confirmation.
  • Per-minute rates and number rental prices are shown before you buy and may change going forward; existing credit balances are not affected by rate changes.
  • All prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and we settle in USD. Prices are exclusive of any sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar tax that may apply where you are; where such tax applies it is calculated and added at checkout. At checkout you may be offered the option to pay in your local currency instead: the amount and the exchange rate are shown before you confirm, and that rate, including its conversion fee, is set by Stripe. If you pay in USD and your bank converts the charge, the exchange rate and any foreign-transaction fee are set by your bank, not by us.
  • Purchases are securely processed by Stripe. Your payment credentials are encrypted and securely handled according to PCI-DSS standards; we never store your full card details.
  • Unused credits do not expire, but dormant accounts may be closed per Section 13 below.

6. Automatic top-up

Auto top-up is optional and off by default. It only becomes available once you have saved a card, which happens solely when you ask for it: either you tick auto top-up when you buy credit, which keeps the card you pay with for automatic top-ups and for top-ups you make yourself with one tap, or you tick "save my payment details" on Stripe's checkout page. We never store a card for future charges without one of those.

  • When you switch auto top-up on, you authorize us to charge your saved card the top-up amount you chose, automatically and without a further prompt, each time your balance falls below the threshold you set.
  • There is no fixed billing date and no minimum term: charges happen only when your own usage brings the balance below your threshold, so their frequency depends entirely on how much you call.
  • You can change the amount and threshold, or switch auto top-up off entirely, at any time from Dashboard > Settings. Switching it off stops all future automatic charges immediately.
  • We email you a receipt after each automatic charge. If your saved card is no longer available to us, we switch auto top-up off and email you.

7. Digital delivery and your right to cancel

Credits are digital content delivered immediately. When you buy, you expressly ask us to begin performance at once and acknowledge that you therefore lose any statutory right of withdrawal — such as the 14-day right under EU and UK consumer law — for credits once they have been delivered to your balance.

This does not affect your rights when the service doesn't work as it should. Our Refund Policy sets out how failed calls and unused top-ups are handled, and any rights you have under mandatory local law remain unaffected.

8. Acceptable use

You agree to use QuikRing only for lawful purposes and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy, including rules against spam, robocalling, harassment, fraud, automated use of your account or our API, and bulk copying of our rates or content by scraping.

9. Virtual phone numbers

Rented numbers are billed every 30 days from your credit balance and may be suspended or released if your balance is insufficient to cover renewal. Incoming calls to a rented number are billed per minute from your credit balance at the incoming rate shown for that number's country, regardless of where the caller is; a call can't ring through when your balance can't cover a minute. A call you forward to another phone is billed as well, at the normal calling rate to that phone. Some countries require additional identity or address verification before a number can be activated, per local telecom regulations. Call forwarding you configure is your responsibility — we're not liable for calls forwarded to a number you no longer control.

10. Export controls and sanctions

QuikRing is operated from the United States and is subject to US export control and economic sanctions law. We do not serve Cuba, Iran, North Korea or Syria. You may not use the service if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or acting on behalf of anyone in one of those countries, or in the Crimea, Donetsk or Luhansk regions of Ukraine, which are under comprehensive US sanctions. You may not place calls or send messages to the four countries above. We block calls and messages to them, and they are not offered on our rates page.

You also confirm you are not a person listed on any US, UK, EU or UN restricted-party list, and that you will not use QuikRing for any purpose prohibited by those laws. We may suspend or close an account without notice to comply with them.

11. Referral program

Referral credits are granted per our published terms and only once a referred user completes a real purchase. We may withhold or reverse referral credits obtained through fraud, fake accounts, or abuse of the program.

12. Promo codes

Promo codes are limited to one redemption per account, may have an expiration date or maximum number of redemptions, and can be disabled at our discretion. We may void bonus credit obtained through a promo code used in violation of these terms.

13. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law, with or without notice depending on severity. We may also apply usage limits or pause calling automatically while we review unusual activity, as described in our Acceptable Use Policy.

We may also close an account that has been dormant for an extended period. We will email you before doing so, at the address on the account, and give you a reasonable opportunity to use or ask us about any remaining balance first.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

QuikRing is provided "as is." We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, since call quality depends on your network and third-party carriers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuikRing is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

15. Governing law

These terms and any disputes arising out of or related to your use of QuikRing are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use QuikRing after a change means you accept the updated terms.

17. Team accounts

If you use QuikRing's Team Calling product, you (the team, acting through its owner and admins) are the controller for your team's own call data -- call metadata, recordings where you turn them on, shared contacts, and call notes -- and QuikRing processes that data as your processor. You are responsible for telling your members, before or when they join, that their calls on the team are visible to the team's owner and admins, and for obtaining any internal approval required under local law -- for example a works council's consent in Germany under §87 BetrVG, or consultation with the Comité Social et Économique in France -- before forcing call recording for your members. Our Data Processing Agreement sets out the full terms that apply between us for this processing.

A call a member chooses to pay from their own credit (Pay from: Your credit) is the member's own call, not the team's: it is charged to the member's own credit, is not shown in the team's call log and is not recorded under the team's forced recording. The team's rules on which countries may be called and when still apply to it.

18. Bringing your number

You can ask us to move a US or Canadian number you already have to QuikRing (a port). To do so you sign a letter of authorization that lets QuikRing and our carrier move the number from your current carrier. By signing you confirm that you are the account holder, or that the account holder has authorized you to act for them. If you bring a number for a team, the person who submits the request makes these confirmations for the team.

  • Give us the details exactly as your current carrier has them: the account holder name, the service address, the account number and the carrier PIN. A mistake makes the carrier reject the move, and we can't promise a move will complete or on which day. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter.
  • Keep your old line active until we tell you the move is complete. If you cancel it earlier, you can lose the number.
  • Once the move completes, the number is billed every 30 days from your credit balance at the rental price of a number in the same country, with the first charge 30 days after it goes live. We charge no fee for moving a number to a personal account.
  • We can't promise that a bank or other service will send verification codes to the number after it moves.

If your balance can't cover the 30-day charge for a ported number, we suspend it and incoming calls stop ringing. We then keep the number for 30 days from the day it was suspended and email you on days 0, 7 and 21. Topping up enough to cover the next charge during those 30 days turns it back on automatically. After 30 days we release the number and may not be able to get it back for you. This 30-day period is for ported numbers; rented numbers follow Section 9.

You can move a ported number away from QuikRing at any time, including while it is suspended. Set a port-out PIN for it on the Numbers page in your dashboard. Give that PIN to your new carrier when it asks for it; we use it to check requests to move the number away, and we email you every time a carrier asks to move it. We never hold a number back because of an unpaid balance.

19. Gift credit

You can buy QuikRing credit as a gift for someone else. These rules apply to a gift, alongside the rest of these terms.

  • The buyer pays. A gift is bought from the buyer's own signed-in account and paid for by the buyer, and we email it to the address the buyer gives us.
  • To redeem a gift, the recipient needs a QuikRing account under the email address the gift was sent to, and must be 18 or over (see Section 2).
  • A gift code can be redeemed once. The credit goes to the recipient's personal balance, never to a team balance, and once redeemed it cannot be transferred to another account.
  • Gifted credit is calling credit and can be used only for QuikRing's telephone services: calls and number rental. It does not expire, carries no fees, and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires it.
  • Gifted credit is not closed or forfeited for dormancy under Section 13.
  • An unredeemed gift can be refunded to the buyer, to the payment method used to buy it, on request within 14 days of purchase: contact support@quikring.com. Once a gift has been redeemed, it can no longer be refunded to the buyer.
  • If the payment for a gift is disputed or turns out to be fraudulent, we may void the gift or, if it has already been redeemed, take the gifted credit back from the recipient's balance.
