Purpose
QuikRing exists so people can make legitimate personal and business calls at fair rates. This policy protects that purpose, our carriers, and everyone else on the network.
Prohibited activities
You may not use QuikRing, including any rented virtual number, to:
- Send robocalls, auto-dialed campaigns, or bulk/unsolicited SMS without the recipient's consent
- Make unsolicited telemarketing or sales calls to consumers without the consent the law requires, or to numbers on a Do-Not-Call list
- Place calls in a pattern carriers treat as abusive — for example, large numbers of very short calls to different numbers
- Spoof caller ID or impersonate another person or organization to deceive recipients
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse another person
- Commit or facilitate fraud, phishing, or any other illegal activity
- Resell access to your account or numbers without our written permission
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, billing, or security controls
- Use scripts, bots, auto-dialers or any other automated means to operate your account, the dialer or our API, without our written permission
- Create accounts by automated means
- Copy our rates, pages or other content in bulk (by scraping, crawling or other automated means) to build a competing service, price list or dataset
- Use a rented number as a routing point for illegal robocall or spoofing operations
- Call or message a comprehensively embargoed destination (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria), or use the service from one, or use it in any way that breaches US export control or sanctions law — see Section 10 of our Terms
- Open or use an account if you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live
Because calls and messages are ultimately carried by Twilio and Telnyx, you must also comply with Twilio's Acceptable Use Policy and Messaging Policy, and with Telnyx's Acceptable Use Policy.
Search engines and AI assistants
Search engines and AI assistants may crawl our public pages as long as they follow our robots.txt. The automated-access rules above are about accounts, the dialer, the API and bulk copying for a competing service, not about being found.
Caller ID you may present
The number shown to the person you call is either a number you have verified as yours — by answering a verification call or text at that number — or a number you rent through us. You cannot present any other number, and the service will not let you try. Transmitting misleading caller identification to defraud or cause harm is a federal offence in the United States under 47 U.S.C. 227(e), and it is grounds for immediate termination here.
Usage limits and reviews
To protect the network and other customers, we may limit how many new numbers an account can call, how much it can spend, or which destinations it can reach — especially for new accounts — and we may pause calling automatically while we review unusual activity. If a limit gets in the way of legitimate use, contact support and we will review it.
Traceback and illegal traffic
When a carrier, a regulator or the Industry Traceback Group asks us to trace a call, we can identify the account that placed it from our own records, and we answer such requests within 24 hours. If a request concerns your account we may ask you to explain the traffic, and you must answer promptly.
Calling that is unlawful where it lands — illegal robocalling above all — gets the account suspended as soon as we are told about it, without waiting for the outcome of any investigation. This is not a policy we can be flexible about: our ability to carry any calls at all depends on the carriers behind us, and they cut off a source of illegal traffic rather than argue with it.
Emergency calls
QuikRing does not carry calls to emergency services and blocks those numbers. Keep a mobile or landline phone for them, and tell anyone who shares your account. This is set out in Section 3 of our Terms of Service.
Enforcement
Violations may result in warning, suspension, or termination of your account, forfeiture of credits obtained through abuse, and — if required by law — a report to the relevant authorities. We may act without prior notice for severe or repeated violations.
Reporting abuse
If you receive an unwanted call or message from a QuikRing number, or believe an account is being misused, email abuse@quikring.com.
